Southampton Town Board Denies Alex Gregor's Request For Reimbursement Of Services From NYPD Detective's Funeral

Let's be clear that Gregor, an elected official, was attempting to recoup taxpayer monies for "gifted" municipal services and resources used on a County roadway. Let's also clarify that NYS CHIPS funds are for capital improvements....not road closures and payroll. Perhaps review of the Municipal Ethics in NY Gift and Loan Clause is called for which in part speaks to the use of municipal funds to "perform government functions", ..."something, necessary for the common good and general welfare of the people of the municipality.." not for pomp and splendor.
The highway cost is the tip of the iceberg, as there were expenses incurred by the Police, Code, Parks etc. Let's consider the struggling businesses on mainstreet HB, not food related, who lost revenue due to the road closures. Let's consider the cost borne by the taxpayers of HB for the kind hospitality provided by the HBFD. At the very least the City of NY and the PBA should have contributed to the costs. Consider the taxpayer liability of the situation if something had happened. IMO, there were other location options i.e. the Saint Patrick's Cathedral, Sacred Hearts Basilica or Dune Church, SH Village. " Apr 11, 19 8:24 PM

Rechlers Offer Timeline For Canoe Place Inn Restoration And Townhouse Project In Hampton Bays

I would ask that the Town look into the construction debris dumped on the edge of the canal, on the townhouse side, to insure it does not end up in the canal. Conveniently not included in the photos. " Apr 13, 19 11:30 AM

Southampton Town Board Approves Additional $225,000 For Ponquogue Beach Facility Revitalization

Lipstick on a pig. Classic election year aesthetics over quality and environment. Shouldn't an I/A OWTS be required based on CH 123, Article 8? Three million and counting with no alternative septic or solar. Plenty of CPF Water Quality monies, every beach location should be converted. Lead by example. " Apr 14, 19 1:43 PM
